Tick collection methodology (drag sampling) for presented data

All data presented are based on collection of ticks by means of drag sampling.

In this method, a white cloth is dragged over vegetation for a fixed amount of time before being examined for ticks.

Ticks attach to the cloth because they respond to its movement, which mimics that of a potential host moving through the environment.
